Rare wood marquetry and Old-World-style craftsmanship elevate Dennis Zongkers music boxes to heirloom-worthy status. Through many hours of laborious detail work, wood becomes art.
The elegant blends of  veneers include flat cut African mahogany, holly, bloodwood, Maccassar ebony,  dyed black maple, flamed birch, flat cut walnut and maple burl. Zongker cuts and blends each piece with precision, guided by more than 28 years experience as a professional artisan of fine woodworking.

This music-themed box features twin violins of African mahogany on top and a pair in bloodwood on the inside lid. The artisan's unique feature of openings on the bottom and back of the box lends to the clear and crisp sounds of the bass and treble of the 72-note musical movement.
 

Each handcrafted foot is turned on the lathe and is composed of eight pieces of flamed birch and Macassar ebony, which highlights the ebony inlays throughout the box. The lyre harp on the box front gives it a delicate touch. The natural lacquer coat brings out each wood’s fine qualities.
